Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser [Review]

How many of you cleanse and moisturize your skin regularly?
Making a skin care regime and religiously following it should be a top priority for everyone especially if you live in a polluted city, wear make-up, have acne, or any kind of skin problems or a combination of all these things, a good cleansing routine is important.

Recently I was sent a sample of "The Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser" from Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare, the British Brand that has won many awards such as the Best British Brand Award for their outstanding quality. I've been using it regularly for about two weeks now and today I'm going to share my views on it with you.

What Liz Earle has to say:

Our plant based cleanser has a two-phase action, phase one is the cleansing. Free from mineral oil, it has a rich and creamy texture and swiftly removes all traces of face and eye make up, even stubborn mascara. Phase two is the polishing. Polish off the cream using the pure muslin cloth to gently dislodge dead skin cells and help reveal clean, soft and radiant skin. Naturally active ingredients include eucalyptus and cocoa butter for smoother, clearer skin. Suitable for all skin types

 [The starter Kit Pouch]

 [That came in fool-proof packaging]

[the pouch, cleanser bottle, two muslin cloths and pamphlet of instructions]

A slender light green bottle with a pump atop which nicely controls the amount you want to use. The transparent lid keeps the pump safe from dust etc.
The starter kit has a 100ml bottle plus two muslin cloths in a small pouch accompanied by a pamphlet on how to use instructions.

Usage Instructions as per Pamphlet/Website:

Step 1: Massage one or two pumps onto dry skin over face and neck twice a day.

Step 2: Rinse the pure muslin cloth in hand-hot water and wring out before gently wiping off the cream. Rinse and repeat.

Splash face with cool clean water and follow with Instant Boost Skin Tonic and your choice of moisturizer.

My Review:

The product has a thick creamy consistency, which helps to soften up the makeup really well [if you're wearing any]. It works superbly on waterproof mascaras and eyeliners too because of this creamy texture. It has a slight scent, kind of a minty/balmy smell. My skin tingles a tad when I apply it but it's not very bothersome.
Two pumps are enough for me, I apply it evenly all over my face and neck and massage for a minute approximately to boost the circulation. Then I dip the muslin cloth in hot [hand-hot] water , wring it and wipe the cleanser off and finally I splash some cold water on on my face.
Basically this does a two-fold work for me, that of a cleanser plus the muslin cloth acts as an exfoliant, with the effect that I can see an instant change in my skin after using the cleanser, my skin looks clean, fresh and glowy straight away. I have used it for almost two weeks now and it didn't break me out. It has naturally active ingredients including purifying eucalyptus and skin softening cocoa butter which makes my skin soft to the touch.

[thick and creamy]

One thing that makes me Pro-Liz Earle products is their NO Animal Testing policy and No Animal Ingredients policy. Their products are completely cruelty-free and that's a big plus for me.

I'd say put down your over-drying skin wipes and try out this innovative muslin cloth cleanser. The cleanser has also received tons of awards and positive reviews if you need anymore excuses to buy one!
