Maybelline Falsies Volume Express Mascara [Review]

Maybelline makes great mascaras IMO, I've tried quite a few of the Maybelline ones and never been disappointed. Today I'm sharing my thoughts on the Maybelline Falsies Volume Express mascara.

Maybelline Claims:
The Pro-Keratin and Fibre enriched formula is designed to deliver immediate results. The formula helps in distributing volume and visible intensity to the lashes
Gives 300% more visible and fuller lashes with a unique flexible wand. The spoon curler brush comes in a shape of false lashes so it's a cinch to reach every last lash. The brush fans out the lashes corner-to-corner for an ultra glam look like never before.

Hold brush with spoon side upwards against lashes and sweep from root to tip to fill in gaps and coat each lash with Kera-Fiber formula. Repeat until false lash look is achieved. Do not let dry between coats.

Shocking pink plastic tube that is stout in the middle, I love the color of it! Carries instructions on usage at the back of the tube.

Curved spoon-like applicator wand

My lashes are pretty scarce and short so I'm always on a hunt for a mascara that can give them good [fake lash kinda] volume and length ofcourse. Hence could not resist this Maybelline Falsies mascara when it hit the market [the name was so attention-grabbing] and got myself the waterproof version[I like them more then the washable ones].
The wand is curved like a spoon and thinner at the tip which makes getting it to the inner corners easy. There are instructions at the back of the tube on how to hold the wand while applying mascara for maximum benefit. Has a balanced sort of formula which is not too wet nor dry.

This purchase made me happy, it gives my lashes some volume and flares them out curling them a bit and the good thing is that it holds the curl. I can skip the lash curler with this. If you have long, thin lashes then it might clump miserably on you but fortunately as I don't have those issues it works for me.

It says not to let dry between coats most probably for the reason that it causes the lashes to clump if they dry between coats ,however I apply it on one lash then move to the other and then come back again to the first one, that's how I do it and it works fine. It separates out lashes nicely coating them from root to tip and thereby lengthening them a little however it might clump on too many successive coats so one has to be careful with that.

It's my go-to mascara at the moment and I love it. I use Johnson's Baby oil to remove it which makes it real easy.

Bare lashes

One coat on top lash

Two coats on top lash

Price and Availability:
I got this from Scentsation Dolmen City Mall Clifton in Karachi for PKR 975. It's available at all Maybelline New York counters across the country.

For me it definitely lives up to it's name! I just wish it didn't have the clumping issue or it would be a winner mascara.
