Benefit That Gal Brightening Primer [review]

This is my very first Benefit product that I got to try! I love that Benefit makes these deluxe sizes of products that you can try out a couple of times without breaking the bank, and if they suit you, you can always get a full sized product!

Benefit that gal is a brightening primer which promises:
Our silky pink primer takes your complexion from dull to darling! Simply blend it on for the look of brighter, smoother skin. Contains light-reflecting pigments to help brighten all skin tones and raspberry & chamomile to soothe skin.

My Thoughts:
This deluxe mini contains 7.5ml of product. Has a tube packaging which according to reviews from beauty bloggers around the world, is much better than the full-sized packaging which is like a glue stick's packaging.
The consistency is like a lotion, pink in color with a pleasant scent like all Benefit products.

It glides on smoothly and evens out the skin and makes it smooth to the touch. I moisturize first then apply this, a pea-sized amount is enough. It gives a healthy glow to my skin as it claims but does little else, I prefer to use it alone on days my skin is problem-free because I wonder what's the point in applying a brightening primer rather than a regular one when it has to be covered with foundation!?

It doesnot hide/minimize the pores on my T-Zone unfortunately, but provides a nice workable canvas for my foundation though, which easily glides on my skin and sets well. The stay time of my makeup was impressive too, about 10-11 hours, and I could hardly see my melasma marks by the end of the day which was an indication that everything was nicely in place!  * I have normal-dry skin

If you're buying it for the stay time I'd suggest going for a cheaper alternative, but if you're buying it for the brightening effect as well then I'd totally recommend getting this primer and wearing this on its own with a bit of concealor for any odd spots.

I liked this product but I wouldn't say I've become a fan of it, I won't be repurchasing it either because I still have some left in the teeny weeny 7.5ml tube that I got plus I'd be trying something else, probably the POREfessional to hide those HORRENDOUS pores!!
