Color Studio Professional Matt Foundation HD Stick [Review]

I prefer using liquid foundations especially in winters when my skin can be dry-er, but for summers I like using cream/stick foundations because my skin is more on the normal side then and needs a foundation that wouldn't just wash away with sweat. I'm reviewing one just cream-based stick foundation today by Color Studio Professional, called the Matt Foundtion HD Stick.

Color Studio Professional Claims:
Extremely easy to apply, characterized by a dry touch and a matt finish. Its high coverage assures a perfect minimization of the skin imperfections and its soft formulation takes care of the skin assuring a decongestant and anti - oxidant action. Particular active principles like chestnut extract and vitamin E works together to protect the skin.

My Thoughts:
The packaging is all black plastic twist-up tube. The color range has five colors. I got Ivory, a fair shade with yellow undertones.

The texture is uber creamy, I draw lines on my cheeks, nose, forehead and chin and either blend them with my fingers, a flat top brush or a beauty blender. It's easiest with the fingers or a beauty blender. The formula is thick and creamy and it requires effort using a brush.
The coverage is medium to full, it covers up minor imperfections well but for darker marks you'd have to bring in the big guns [concealors].

The finish is matte on me, I have normal-dry skin. I can totally skip the face powders except that this just like the Matt Perfection, transfers especially onto my mobile phone, so I dab some powder on top only for that reason, to make it transfer-proof. Anyways so moisturizing your face before application would help the foundation set better on your face and less chances of dry spots.

Doesn't feel heavy on the skin, light weight and the staying power is good, I had it on for 6 hours roughly and things were well in place apart from a bit of fading nothing that a bit of pressed powder couldn't remedy. Oily-combination skinned girls might like to give it a go as well.
Has a slight scent, resembles the Matt Perfection scent but very faint, so I prefer it more scent wise.

Summing it up an affordable, good quality, medium to full coverage foundation!

  3. I love this stick. The sad part is, I received a tone darker than my skin tone. But I love it still. Great review. xx

  4. Hi dear, thanks for this excellently laid out review, I have never used a stick foundation before. I like the idea of creamy texture and that you said it lasts quite a while. I think I would only be too lazy to blend with a brush ;)
