Makeup Academy[MUA] F2 and E3 Brushes [Review]

This is a long overdue review that I had to post, but it kept on getting delayed for some reason or the other. I'm still on 'the holiday' and most probably would be returning back to karachi after Eid since it's so hot there and it's cooler where I am! Anyways so today I'll be talking about some makeup brushes by MUA.
The MakeUp Academy launched their Synthetic and Cruelty-Free makeup brushes range early this year consisting of 14 face, eye and lip brushes. I was eager to try them out so as soon as just4girls.pk stocked them, I placed my order!

MUA Claims:
F2 Stippling Brush:
A flat-topped, full circular brush used for lightweight application and blending of any foundations. Ideal for creating soft layers or adding textures to the skin.
This style of brush is typically made up of shorter natural bristles and longer synthetic bristles. The duo-fibre brush is used for buffing and stippling foundation into your skin. To "stipple" foundation for an airbrushed look, dip just the very tips of the white bristles into your liquid foundation and gently tap onto your skin. This method of foundation application achieves a flawless, full coverage result with no streaking. Finally Buff the foundation into the skin by applying it in a circular motion to mesh the foundation with your skin as much as possible.

E3 Blending and Shadow Brush
A blending brush for shaping your eye make-up to perfection with powder and loose eye shadows, and its moulded shape is perfect for a soft colour application and perfect for a defined blended smoky eye.
To achieve the perfect smoky eye the key is about blending and E3 is the perfect brush for blending and softening a smoky eye effect. When applying a darker shade to the crease blend in the darker colour, but keep dark colour below the crease. Now that you have the base on, it's time to get the smoky effect. Using E3 blend in the colour starting at your lash line, blending upwards. Make sure to blend colour into the lash line so the eye liner disappears. Stop deep colour at crease with a windscreen motion. The key here is to blend, blend, and blend for that perfect smoky eye effect.

My Thoughts:
The brushes are sleek black and shiny in color; the handle and the ferule are both black with the number of the brush written just below the ferule and the MUA logo at the bottom of the handle. The overall look and feel of these brushes is extremely high-end and professional.
The bristles are synthetic and extremely soft to touch with light-weight and easy-to-hold handles.

F2 Stippling Brush:
This is a smaller stippling brush, I love using it to apply cream/liquid blushers, bronzer and sometimes highlighter as well. I tried applying my foundation with this but had to make an extra effort as the brush is small and it takes longer to cover the entire face and you have to work twice as hard to get the true airbrushed effect in my opinion. The bristles as I mentioned are super soft to touch. When using cream/liquid blushes I have to be careful with the quantity as the bristles pick up a lot of product. However when I use this to apply [pressed powder] highlighter I need to swipe it a couple of times to pick up enough product to show up on my face. So I guess it depends upon what you're using it for. I've washed it and it doesn't shed during the wash or afterwards, which is a big plus!
I've taken the picture below just to give you an idea of it's size, it's thinner than a standard face brush, I've compared it to the elf Studio Powder brush and the Nanshy Flat Top Buffer brush.

E3 Blending and Shadow Brush:
I'm in love with this brush, the bristles are soft and just the right length to make blending eyeshadows a joy.
It's perfect for defining the crease, for soft application of eyeshadows as well as for blending out any harsh lines. I have two of these and use one as an under-eye concealor brush and sometimes for other parts of my face as well. I want to stock up a few more on these.. crazy I know!!

Price and Availability:
The F2 is priced at £3.00 and E3 at £1.95 on the MUA website, I got these from Just4Girls.pk the F2 for PKR 500 and the E3 for PKR 350.

Extremely good quality brushes at super affordable rates and a wonderful option to consider especially if you're struggling with money! I recommend them to all make up fanatics! :)
