Color Studio Professional Invincible All Day Water Proof and Heat Proof Powder [Review]

Don't we all just wish our makeup would stay on forever and not melt off especially in the present grueling heat?! Today I'm sharing my thoughts on one such product which claims to do just that! :)

Color Studio Claims:
The Invincible All-Day Waterproof and Heat-Proof Powder Compact provides all day matte coverage even through excessive oil and shine. The humidity and heat resistant powder repels against water and sweat, the leading causes of foundation transfers and fading. The velvety smooth texture applies flawlessly on the skin for a matt finish complexion. The soft, light-weight powder is finely milted for a complete medium to full coverage, packaged with a specially designed puff for maximum powder application to reduce shine and oil without giving you a cakey effect.

My Thoughts:
I like the robust packaging, sleek black round compact with white embossed writing on the flip open lid, houses a mirror and an applicator puff.
Comes in 4 shades, my shade is indian pink, described as a light shade with a pink undertone perfect for pale skin types.
It can be used in two ways; as a setting powder for foundation or on it's own for sheer coverage. For the latter the puff works great, you can pack on the product really nicely if you're using just this powder in place of a foundation. It doesn't cover any marks or blemishes so you're going to need some concealors to do that for you.
The texture of the powder is really smooth and gives a velvety feel when you swipe your finger over it, probably more satiny than the Rimmel Stay Matte. When applied it blends nicely into the skin and doesn't feel heavy at all.
However it does accentuate dry patches so the dry skinned girls would do well with a nice moisturizer before applying this on its own. If you dislike the powdery feel that comes with using powders I'd strongly recommend setting your makeup with a makeup fix spritzer or a setting mist, that would give you a more dewy look.
As for the Heat-Proof claim I'd say it does a good enough job at not budging in hot weather, for me touch-ups with this are few and far between and my oily skinned sister claims that it does keep the oily-ness at bay for atleast 3-4 hours! However it is not 100% Water-Proof or Sweat-Proof, in excessive humidity of Karachi you need to touch up more often than not especially if you have combination/oily skin. As for the transfer-proof claim I can vouch for it, it does prevent foundation transfer to a great extent!

Overall I feel this does a fair enough job at doing what it claims, I just wish the shade range had more variety!

  1. Taking the price into account I think there are other better options available plus their shades are totally confusing

    1. The price is a bit steep yes but the quality and oil control properties make it worth buying! :) as I mentioned above they would do good if they expand the shade range! x

  2. Sounds like a great powder, i would prefer suing something like this rather than a liquid foundation. It blended really well into your skin too.

  7. This would be good for people with oily skin but I don't think for a flawless finish it could beat liquid foundation. Thanks for reviewing. :) x

    1. if you have good mark-free skin then this can work admirably well for the day time, just dab some on and you're good to go esp in the scorching heat we're having in Pak at the moment but for a more formal occasion or a night function a liquid base is the best option ofcourse, however you can set your foundation with this and make it invincible!:)

  8. I tend to compare everything to rimmel stay matte and maybelli e dream matte powder and nothing co es close. I swatched this in store, just felt heavy for some reason :/
