Color Studio Professional Pure Matt Lipsticks [Review]

Lipsticks are possibly my favorite make up item, I cannot have enough of the brands and the shades! I don't have a huge collection but I own a modest amount :p Anyways these lovelies you see above are of Color Studio Professional, from their newly launched Pure Matt Lipstick range.

Color Studio Professional Claims:
The high-performance lipstick formula is fused with a blend of Bamboo Extract, Shea Butter and Vitamin E. The unique Shea Butter moisture complex provides a creamy, non-drying, long-lasting color to indulge the lips. The velvety-smooth texture enriched with Bamboo Extract provides an emollient and soothing action to protect and hydrate the lips. Vitamin E eases the application of the lipstick by providing anti-aging and anti radical action for smooth and supple lips.

My Thoughts:
Matte lipsticks are tricky, creating the right formula to balance the matte effect with the hydrating properties which wouldn't dry out the lips is most important in these.

The Color Studio Pure Matt lipsticks come in a lovely packaging, the matchbox like boxes to the black and gold square tube. I like the packaging more than their Color Rush lipsticks.
Texture-wise I'd say I have to press and drag the lipstick on my lips to get the color but that's how almost all matte lipsticks are so no issues there. In subsequent coats the texture gets creamy and easy to apply. The shade applies evenly and is not streaky or patchy. After a while though it dries out my lips and sinks in the lip lines a bit.  I haven't prepped my lips before applying these in the swatch pictures, you can tell from the lip swatch of 'Backstage' above [ a bit of flaking], however if a lipbalm is applied underneath, the result could be much better.
The scent is a yummy vanilla-esque one that vanishes on application, but I love it!
The longetivity is more for 'Backstage' being a darker shade, it lasts for hours literally and leaves behind a stain but 'Mythic' vanishes within 2+ hours.

Backstage is a super pigmented medium toned Coral. It a bright and bold in-your-face shade which looks lovely when paired with just a simple winged eyeliner. It stays on for 5 hours without fading and when it loses the initial brilliance it leaves behind the coral stain which is equally nice. Dries out my lips bigtime though.

Mythic is a pale beige color that washes me out completely. It can also highlight the imperfections that I may have on my lips at that time. Being a light shade it lasts about 1-2 hours on me before fading away a bit unevenly. Frankly speaking I'd probably be using this as a concealor.

These come is a wide range of 28 vibrant colors, you can check the complete shade range here
