Revlon Colorstay Whipped Cream Foundation [Review]

I was on a hunt for a medium to full coverage foundation, had gone out to buy the MAC Studio Fix originally, unfortunately my shade NC20 was not in stock at Farid's, and I was about to walk out head hanging down when this little buddy caught my attention, and I brought it home with me! :)

My Thoughts:
The packaging is a bit bulky; the glass container is heavy and I wish it was lighter, it has a plastic insert for keeping the product inside but overall it gets really messy, the product sticks to the insert, the lid and jar itself and you end up with the foundation all over everything and not ideal for travelling with either since it's quite heavy, so the packaging gets a 3/10 from me! The shade range has 12 colors and my shade is Buff.

The foundation itself is rich and fluffy like whipped cream literally, but lighter than mousse and thicker than liquid, if that makes sense. Very easily blended, I have used my Nanshy angled top brush as well as my fingers and both work incredible, fingers work even better because they help make it melt with their warmth and it becomes easy to spread.

It gives me a dewy-matte finish, settles seamlessly into the skin after a while making it look quite natural and looks flawless at the same time . It has a nice full coverage which is what I love it most for, covers up pretty much every thing except for very severe dark circles or bad acne scars maybe. I don't need to use a concealor after it.

Some reviews said it enlarged pores or pooled up in the pores making them look big, but with me there was no such thing, I used it sans a primer and it didn't enhance my pores, used it with Benefit Porefessional underneath and the finish was just the slightest bit better. The wear time is incredible on me since I'm normal-to-dry skinned, it stays on me until I remove it myself, I wouldn't say it doesn't budge in extreme humidity though bu it definitely works better than most liquid foundations I've tried.

I read that it has SPF20 which is a good thing again, and it's oil-free. As the product is thick-er a little goes a long way, you take a little bit and before you know it your whole face is covered so the price tag is completely justified in my opinion. The very dry-skinned ladies should moisturize before application because when it sets to a dewy matt-ish finish it can accentuate dry patches. The oily-combo skinned friends this just might be your dream come true!

Price and Availability:
Available at Revlon counters in Scentsation and Vicky's, and online at Just4Girls.pk. I got mine from Scentsation at Farid's for around PKR2500, don't remember the actual figure.

It's my current love <3
