Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey [Review]

These lip crayons have taken the makeup world by storm. Inspired by Clinique which termed these as Chubby Sticks, every other makeup brand is coming out with their versions. I got myself the version from Revlon which is called the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain a few months ago, paying a LOT more than I would've liked for it. Anyways so let's move on to the review.

Revlon Claims:
It’s a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain in an adorable chubby crayon. Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of color that lasts hour after hour. The gel formula comes in 12 vibrant shades that match any look or mood.

My Thoughts:
The packaging is in the color of the product, a thick and chubby crayon like appearance; it's twist up so no sharpening required which is a good point. The name embossed on it in silver tends to rub-off though, you can tell the difference between picture 2 and 4.

The shade Honey is a dusty pink color, very sheer and buildable, you can intensify the color by just adding a second layer and so on. It would probably suit all skin tones, being a nude-y pink color. I liked the color in the tube but not so much on me unfortunately. I wish I could've gone for a more vibrant bight color in the range like sweetheart maybe.

Contains an intense peppermint scent and a bit of taste which put me off initially but gradually I came to terms with it. It's super moisturising as long as it stays on the lips but as it fades away it leaves behind a stain, weirdly the stain is a berry pink color and the lips get really dry at that point as well so reapplication is needed to keep the lips feeling moisturised.

So all in all a really handy on-the-go product, especially apt for the winters but the price is a bit steep for me since the amount of product you get [2.7g] doesn't justify the price.

Price and Availability:
It retails for $8.9 in Target, Boots, Superdrug. I got it from a Facebook page by the name of Shopaholic for 1600 something, not remember the price correctly but it's available for 1300-1400 on most facebook pages.

Have you tried these Balm Stains by Revlon?
