Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Unapologetic [Review]

In my opinion Revlon is the clear winner in coming up with great lip crayon variations. As always I was first drawn towards these because of the cute packaging so I decided to try them out. I ordered a matte balm and one lacquer balm but unfortunately something went wrong with my order and I received this matte balm in Unapologetic only, my luck!

Revlon Says:
A Matte finish that’s beyond plush. Balm that’s beyond comforting. Our Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Coconut and Mango butters nourishes lips. In 10 collectible, craveable colors.

My Thoughts:
To say that I was blown away by the texture and comfort of wearing this is putting it mildly. It was the second product in a week which knocked my socks off! first was the Melba blush by MAC I've been raving all over Instagram about!
The packaging is standard chubby crayon twist-up packaging which relieves you of the hassle of sharpening it.
Unapologetic is a beautiful water melon pink, it's a warm bold color which would suit majority of the skin tones especially us Asians. The texture is matte and hydrating comfortable to wear I'd say, it doesn't chap my lips like matte lipsticks/products do and I don't feel the need to lick my lips which I sometimes do if the lipstick is too drying. It keep the lips soft and feel weightless when on. Being extremely pigmented it also stays on for a long time and though it's not exactly supposed to stain the lips unlike the Just Kissable balm stains it does leave behind a slight tint which is pretty.
Has a slight minty scent, not as pungent as the Just Kissable Balm Stains have but slightly more mellow and bearable for me so there's that also. Conclusively I like them far more than the glossy Just Kissable Balm Stains, and would be investing in a couple more!

Price and Availability:
I got this for pkr 1150 from Makeup & Accessories, you can order it from them or Rouge!

It's a keeper and if you haven't tried it already I suggest you place an order asap! :)

  2. Great review. I LOVE the color. I have my eyes on it, but was unsure whether it is worth buying or not. But after your review, definitely picking one of the colors x

  3. I love the colour, so bold and pretty! I will have to try one of these, I really like bold matte lip colours but am wary of the unforgiving dryness they come with but this sounds perfect. x
