How often do you wash your make-up brushes, sponges and other applicators? I’d suggest twice a week if you use make-up daily or regularly on alternate days. If you’re very lazy then a deep clean once a month at least is highly recommended. Grubby makeup brushes can give you problematic skin.

 Bacteria tends to accumulate on the used brushes, the products already layered upon the brushes when you use them attract dirt as well, and when these come in contact with your facial skin again would cause you to break out, block pores, blemishes or even worse aggravate the acne if you have any.
