BITE BEAUTY HIGH PIGMENT LIP PENCIL IN CORVINA [REVIEW AND DUPES]

My sister got me this from Sephora last July and kinda introduced me to Bite Beauty. I'd never heard of the brand before obviously, and trust me it was such a pleasant surprise.

 My Thoughts:
The packaging is black, rubber-y kinda, reminds me of the NARS blushes and palettes packagings, because the rubber-esque feeling is very similar which you get when you touch either. Two downsides to it that it gets grubby easily and if you look at the cap in the second picture you'll see how it's flaking which is something I wouldn't expect from a $24 product!! Anyways the bottom part which is the twist up is in the color of the product itself, making storing and locating these very easy, you can just pop them in a jar upside down. Just above the colored part you can see the logo of the brand, with a tiny bite missing from the letter B which is so cute!
Coming down to the product itself, the color Corvina is a vibrant water melon pink. The texture is super creamy and the pigmentation is crazy!! It's so intensely pigmented that it makes me think of a lip cream for some reason but that's where the similarity ends, it's creamy and soft, you only have to touch it to your lips, the application is that smooth. In a single coat you get completely opaque, vibrant color, but if you go over it again you end up with a neon pink shade which is stunning.
I can't seem to detect any scent in this, though I've heard from a couple of people that these have a scent. The staying power is great, it stays fresh and vibrant for a good 3-4 hours flat, then you can see the color dull just a bit, it doesn't fade completely though, leaves a stain behind which pretty much stays till I cleanse my lips. You can see me wearing it here.
DUPES:
I have found two almost dupes of this, one is the MAC Impassioned lipstick and the other drugstore alternative is the Revlon Matte Balm in Unapologetic, although Corvina is the most vibrant among all three, the colors are EXACTLY the same.

Dupes: MAC Impassioned lipstick, Bite Beauty pencil Corvina, Revlon Matte Balm Unapologetic
Price and Availability:
Retails for $24 at Sephora. You can order them from Facebook pages taking Sephora orders!

I love this pencil to bits, it's so handy and so pretty with an excellent texture and staying power, a winner definitely!
